Glad I started saving my $5 bills!

Hey everyone...sorry I have not been blogging lately, I am not able to get a wireless connection on my computer as often as I could before so I haven't been online much lately.
I wanted to give you a little update on what I mentioned in my last post, about saving $5 bills. This is really working out! I have been making an effort to save almost every $5 bill that I get, and I have really been saving money. I have a little change jar on my dresser, and at the end of the day I would just put some coins in it that were left over in my wallet. Mostly just quarters or anything less than that, and occasionally more. I think I had about $10 or so in the jar, but since I started saving my fives, I now have over$100 in the jar! And this was only about 2 weeks ago that I started doing that! I am definately going to continue doing this, now I just have to decide what this money will go towards. It might be the beginning of my Portugal Fund, which I mentioned in my other blog.

What do you guys think?? Would you be able to save all your $5 bills? Its easier than you think!

Wow! Thats a big savings after only two weeks. I rarely have cash and so this wouldn't work out as well for me but I admire your effort. It really is paying off!

Where are all those $5 coming from? Are you breaking larger bills?

Main question: Is the sum of your bank account balance and the jar more than it would have been if you didn't save the fives?

I think if I tried saving all my fives, I'd have to constantly withdraw more cash. At best, for me, I'd just be taking money out of the bank and putting it in the jar. At worst, I'd end up spending more because I'd have less cash in my pocket so I'd withdraw more from the ATM.

Good luck to you.
