This past week I have had 4 no spending days in a row! I don't think I've ever done that before. I've really made an effort this past week to bring my lunch/dinner to work, and that is the main reason for not spending. I haven't really been doing anything other than going to and from work, so I didn't really have any other reasons to spend either.
I broke the streak yesterday when I went out to dinner with some people from work, in honour of this one lady leaving. And then today we ran out of good food to bring to work so I bought a slice of pizza.
This really made me realize that if I can keep making an effort to bring food to work, I can really cut down on my spending. Most days that I work, I am not really doing much else. And I work 5 days a week, so I really only have 2 days a week to really be tempted to spend money. So if I can bring my lunch almost every day, this can really work.
I just have to keep motivated and plan meals ahead. It's so easy to just get lazy and say "oh I'll just buy something at work" but it really adds up! I have to just keep thinking of all the other things that my money could be going towards.
