101 in 1001

Ok so I'm not sure how I missed it, but while I was browsing various blogs I figured out that a lot of people are doing this whole 101 in 1001 thing. It seems like it started sometime last year. Basically you make a list of 101 things you want to do in 1001 days. Some are big things like paying off a debt or finishing school, and some are little things like spend a day at the beach.

Of course I've got to jump on this bandwagon so I've started making one too. So far I've only got 23 items and I'm having a a hard time thinking of more! I've got things like pay off my car, go to the farmers market (never been there before), participate in a walk/run for charity and bake a cake.
Of course this doesn't officially start until I've completed the list. But at the rate I'm going this could take another month!

Anyone have any ideas?? Who all is doing this too??

I was going to do it too and then, like you, realized I couldn't think of enough things that I wanted to do. Mostly because I don't have the money to go a lot the places that I would like to go anytime soon.

You may want to check out the blog "Canadian Girl on a Budget" she has a really good list. It may give you some ideas.

Good Luck!

I thought about this too but like Morgaine said... I can't really think of 101 REALISTIC things I'd like to do.

Moreover, my BF made a good point... Once you make a list, you're commiting yourself to something "bigger" than you. Or else you'd just flake out. So I decided on a small small list of 10 things. :)

I've done 101 in 1001 lists before, and always always fail. That's just so many things to accomplish!!! So I switched to XX number of things to do the year I turn XX. So this year I turn 28, and I have 28 goals to accomplish. :)

Krystal that is a really good idea as well! I might have to rethink this!

I think it started three years ago, because some people have already finished their list and are on their second one. I just started mine a month ago, and I'm finding it a helpful way to focus my life. I only have 50 goals so far, but I'm coming up with them as I go along, rather than all at once.

Yeah, I finally started my list (http://dayzeroproject.com is where it's at).

I've only got about 30, lol. I might split it up into things like restaurants I want to go to, travel destinations and books I want to read - that way I might actually get to 100! A few bloggers I've seen are doing it that way. It's really up to you - it's YOUR life list after all.
