Speak Now

After work on Monday, I went and picked up the new Taylor Swift cd. I don't know if I have mentioned this before, but I absolutely love her!! I wanted to get tickets for her latest tour but I waited too long ( I think they sold out on the first day anyways). I decided for the next one I am buying two tickets the day they go on sale because I am not missing out this time! Even if I don't have anyone to go with yet I'll just buy them anyway. lol.

Anyways...the point of this post is that I wanted to share with you part of the "Prologue" that she wrote for this album. The album is titled "Speak Now" and each song is written for a person, telling them what she wished she had said in person at a certain time or another.

I searched the internet hoping someone had already wrote it out so I wouldn't have to copy it myself but no such luck...lol I'm not going to write out the whole thing but just what I think are the best parts.

So here goes:

" Real life is a funny thing you know. In real life, saying the right thing at the right moment is beyond crucial. So crucial, in fact, that most of us start to hesitate, for fear of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. But lately what I've begun to fear more than that is letting the moment pass without saying anything."

"Words can break someone into a million pieces, but they can also put them back together. I hope you use yours for good, because the only words you'll regret more than the ones left unsaid are the ones you use to intentionally hurt someone. What you say might be too much for some people. Maybe it will come out all wrong and you'll stutter and you'll walk away embarrassed, wincing as you play it all back in your head. But I think the words you stop yourself from saying are the ones that will haunt you the longest."

"There is a time for silence. There is a time for waiting your turn. But if you know how you feel, and you so clearly know what you need to say, you'll know it. I don't think you should wait. I think you should speak now."

Whether you love her or hate her you got to admit the girl's got a point.
