In terms of "bang for your buck" I was really excited to have 3 full sized products this month. I needed new body wash anyways so it was cool that I didn't have to go buy any, and I'm really into nail polish lately so getting a new one was nice. But the thing I was most excited about was the John Frieda product. My moroccan oil sample ran out and even though I loved it I was glad to get this product to use so I don't have to spend an arm and a leg for a full size moroccan oil anytime soon. 

The one thing that doesn't impress me about glossy box is its always late. I always get it in the first few days of the month AFTER the month it was supposed to be for, which is kind of annoying. I think I'm just going to get one more, and unless its a super amazing box, I'm going to cancel after August. 

May Glossy Box

So my MAY Glossy box arrived JUNE 5th. So it was my first one and I was already not too impressed that it was late. Anyways heres what it looked like:

This is the cute packaging it came in. I really liked it!

The contents:

1. Curel Foot Cream

2. Simple Eye Makeup Remover 

Full size is 125ml/$9.99 and sample was 56ml so approx $4.48 worth

3. Simple Facial Gel Wash

Full size is 150ml/$9.99 and sample was 50ml so approx $3.33

4. Iman Lipstick

Full size in "red" $16

5. Sebastian Professional Volupt Shampoo

Full size $15

I have to say I was the most excited about the shampoo because I actually had run out and was putting off buying some because I figured I would get one in this box. Sebastian has a great reputation too. I've used it once and I like it so far. I'm kinda "meh" on the Simple products, and also on the lipstick because I'm not too familiar with the Iman brand, although I will keep it for my red lipstick collection.

The one thing I didn't like is I feel they are misleading you with the prices they print on the card. The Simple products I got, on the card it said they were both worth $9.99 which I figured was weird and an internet search confirmed thats not true. 

So overall, so far I'm not overly impressed with Glossy box but I'm not hating it either. Not impressed with it being late and the misleading info on the card, but a big plus on the full size professional brand shampoo. So I would give this probably a 6/10.

April Luxe Box

In terms of getting my money's worth I would say this month is a bit of a bust. I definitely have gotten a lot more (dollar wise) in past boxes. I do like the nail polish and am curious about the leave in conditioner. Not sure why I got Pantene stuff in this box because I thought it was supposed to be like more premium brands. So I'm not super impressed with this month but its still better than my Glymm box!

I'm only going to get one more Glymm box, and that's only because after that I will have enough points for a $20 credit towards purchasing a full size item which could really come in handy. This month was my last luxe box. I've also signed up for Glossy box which starts next month. It has gotten really good reviews from other bloggers so I'm excited about that one. I also went on a waiting list for "Beauty Army" which is one where you get to pick your samples, and they emailed me that I can subscribe. But the samples for May didn't really interest me at all so I wrote them asking if I can skip this month. lol. Gosh these subscription boxes are starting to get a little out of hand aren't they? Once I try them all I need to narrow it down to 2 max. The plus side of all this is I've got so many travel size toiletries for my upcoming trips!

I honestly think it would be the most brilliant thing if someone would come up with a beauty subscription box consisting solely of ASIAN beauty brands. Etude House, Skin Food, Missha, Majolica Majorca, Kanebo, etc etc. This would be amazing and if someone would do that it would make my life. 

April Glymm Box

I started to wonder if I was getting one this month because I did not recall getting an email notifying me that it had been shipped. Then I checked my mail and there it was! Here's what I got this month:

1. Atelier Cologne in Orange Sanguine

Full size is 30ml for $60

Sample size 1.2ml so approx $2.40 worth

It came with that fabulous postcard in the background! Totally picturing that scenario right now. 

2. Free Your Mane Sulfate Free shampoo and conditioner 

Full size is 300ml for $16

Sample size is 7.4ml so approx $0.40 worth (x2)

Never heard of this brand but curious to try it.

3. Lucia Soap No 6. Wild Ginger and Fresh Fig

Full size is 8 soaps for $17.50

Sample size is 1 soap so approx $2.19 worth

4. Mai Couture Social Gloss in Femme Fatale

FULL size worth $28

It's a really nice light pink. The photo is not the best in terms of showing the colour. Its a pastel pink. I just tried it and I'm not sure about it. Even though I didn't lick my lips I can somehow taste it and its gross, and its pretty sticky. Colour is nice though. I might try it a few more times before I really decide on a verdict. 

We also got in this months box a $100 gift certificate to NuMe. It is the same company that the hair extensions from from that I got in my last box (where I didn't get all the tools needed to install them). It is good for extensions (won't be buying) or hail styling tools. I might use it to get a new flat iron, but I haven't decided yet. Call me crazy but I think its a little weird to get a $100 gift card in these boxes, I mean that's a lot. Seems almost too good to be true if you know what I mean? 

Anyways overall I am not totally satisfied with this box again. I'm not sure about continuing this subscription. My favourite part of this months box might be the fabulous little post card with the lovely starfish that I've put on my bulletin board :) lol, how sad is that.
