Phillips SatinPerfect Epilator

Awhile ago I signed up with this website called BzzAgent. It's a site where you can sign up for "campaigns" to get sent products in the mail and review them. If you do a good job you get invited for more/better campaigns. I had gotten a few invites but nothing really interested me until this one.

I was invited to review the Phillips SatinPerfect Epilator. I had never even heard of this before but it seemed interesting to me. So I signed up and I got my package in the mail on Friday! The first thing I thought of was I cant believe I got this for free. At Sears.ca it is $89.99!!!

Its kind of like a razor except it basically like rips the hairs out with this rotating head. Doesn't sound very appealing but I can't think of how else to describe it. It comes with two different heads and a nice little pouch to keep it all in.

I tested it on my arm just to see what it would feel like. It doesn't really "hurt" per say but its not as painless as shaving, it's like a mild stinging sensation. I had some red bumps afterward but they are gone now. Let me just say I am terrified of using this on my legs!! But since I signed up for the campaign I'm going to try it.

It's a survey site where you earn points. Each time you do a survey you get to spin the hotspex wheel for extra points or instant prizes. I won $10 a few weeks ago and they mailed me a check. I am really disappointed in this site and will not be using it anymore because of recent changes. You used to be able to go on points.com and redeem your points for gift cards or even trade them for other points programs like HBC, aeroplan miles etc. But they cancelled their agreement with points.com so now I have all these points that are void. Now all you get to do is use your points to enter contest. BOO. Not impressed.

Air Miles: $25 HBC gift card.
I traded in 200 air miles for an HBC gift card. I am just waiting for it to come in the mail. My favourite makeup line, MAC has a counter in The Bay in the mall here, so I am probably going to treat myself to something there. Or maybe boots. We'll see.

I finally got another amazon.com gift card, and ever since I installed the toolbar I have been earning them much faster because I am alerted when there is new swag codes. I am looking forward to redeeming them a bit more often!

Another Amazon Gift Card

I recently redeemed 45 Swagbucks for another Amazon gift card. They used to email you the code but now they post it in your account once its ready. It took about a week, which is a little longer than I would like but hey it's free so I don't really mind.

I now have $10 in gift cards on Amazon.com and I also have $4 in earnings from Amazon Mechanical Turk. Mechanical Turk is a way to earn money by doing various tasks called "hits". Most seem pretty time consuming and not worth the few dollars of a reward that they offer, but once I saw one that was just a short survey so that's how I got the $4. So I have a total of $14. And I am already at another 28 swagbucks so I am halfway to another gift card! :)
