Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Bowl Cleaner

As I have mentioned a few times before I am a member of the BzzAgent website. Basically how this site works is that you get selected to participate in a campaign for a specific product and if you accept they will send you the product free of charge to try it out. They want you to tell your friends and family about it or post about it on your blog, facebook, twitter etc. Then you submit a review about it and your experience.

So I got an email a few weeks ago about the Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Toilet Bowl Cleaner campaign and I thought sure, why not? I received it in the mail in a timely fashion (less than a week I would estimate). I proceeded to set it up following the instructions that came with it.

This is when it went wrong. LOL. You are supposed to connect the can of cleaner to the base of the pump and then pump the pedal with your foot and a stream of cleaner will come out. As soon as I connected the can, it started spraying immediately. It didn't say this would happen in the instructions but I thought no big deal I'm sure it will stop. It kept spraying and spraying non stop!! It seemed to go on for about 30 seconds or more. Finally it stopped....because the can was EMPTY! It used up the entire can in one sitting!! I was so shocked! lol.

Anyways it does seem like a good product and I think it probably does clean well. I'm just glad that I got this one for free since it was a dud.

Since I am still pretty new I haven't gotten invited to that many campaigns. I might get an invite every few months. Each time you do a review you get MyPoints which is kinda cool. Then you become more "credible" I guess which leads to you getting more invite. Some campaigns that are happening right now are: Canon Powershot, Werthers Original, Keurig, Burts bees, Itemize, Green mountain coffee etc. I recommend joining if you want the chance to try products for free and like to share your opinions!

Phillips SatinPerfect Epilator Review

As I previously mentioned I received a Phillips SatinPerfect Epilator from BzzAgent to review. It is a method of hair removal that is I guess in between shaving and waxing, in terms of pain and how long you stay hairless.

I tested it on my arm just to see how it felt and to see if I had a reaction or anything. It stung a little, but didn't hurt too much. I had some red bumps but they went away overnight.

Tonight I decided to try it on my legs. Well....it hurt so much I could not do it. I started to do it and it was so painful!! It felt like 1000 hairs being plucked out of my leg at once. I just could not imagine doing this on my whole two legs. lol!

I generally do not tolerate pain well, so I'm not sure why I even wanted to try this product. I should of known that I would not like it!! Ah, well...atleast I tried.

An Imaginary Shopping Spree

One of my favourite things to do while bored is to window shop online. I love going to various sites and see what I would buy if I had the money. Today I checked out Talbots.com. I think I might of heard of this place once before, but have never been to their website. This isnt really the type of place I would normally shop, as the prices are much higher than what I am normally willing to pay. But hey, this is imaginary right?

If I had a $500 gift card for Talbots, here are some ideas of what I would get:

Belted Plaid Coat - $269.00
I love coats that are bold and make somewhat of a statement. It's really classic and definately something I would wear.

Cashmere V-neck sweater $149.00
I've never owned anything cashmere but I think I should make it a goal to own a cashmere sweater one day.

Tweed Satchel $99
I just think this purse is super cute and love how its a different texture than what most people are carrying around.

If you like fashion blogs, check out RedChairConfessions.com, a trendy new blog from Talbots!

Ok so..I think I have gone over $500.00 with only 3 items! Like I said, I don't really spend this much money on clothes, but sometimes it's fun to think about what you would buy if you could.

Dr. Oetker Shakers

I don't know how many bakers there are out there but I personally love to bake. Especially when I am baking treats like cupcakes or muffins. These things are relatively easy to bake to begin with but anything that makes it easier and/or faster is always appreciated!

Have you seen the Dr. Oetker Shakers? I saw these in the grocery store awhile ago but didn't really look at them. Well they actually seem pretty cool. It comes with all the ingredients in a container and all you have to do is add milk or water, shake it and pour! If you go here, you can see all the different products and you can also get the nutritional info on each one. There is chocolate or vanilla cupcakes, buttermilk or chocolate chip pancakes, and various kinds of muffins.

You can also enter a contest to win a $1200 Visa cash card or a Dr. Oetker Shaker fun pack valued at $30. There is also an area where you can read other customers tips on how to customize your shaker. You can buy these products at: A&P, Food Basics, Sobeys, Price Chopper, Loblaws, Highland Farms and Longos.

Next time I see these at the grocery store I think I will pick one up to try them out!

SOGO Active

There is a new website called SOGO Active geared towards Canadian youth to motivate them to be more active. The reason being that some kids may not be aware of all the activities going on in their community and so this is a way to find out whats going on around you and join in. You can make connections with others, get a team together and track progess.

They have these "e-booklets" to help you get ideas. For instance there is one called "What's your activity style" where you can pick a category such as "non competivie", "compete with myself", or "group/team activities", etc and it lists various sports/activities in that category. Another one is called "Ways to get moving" where they mention sports I've never even heard of like Frokey (also called flying disc hockey) and Oozball (apparently involving volleyball and lots of mud).

Perhaps one of the coolest things about this is that youth who join could win a chance to be an Olympic Torchbearer at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay. And THAT is super cool, because I love the Olympics. I think this is a great website for our youth and even for older people to find out whats going on in their community.

New user review site

*this is a sponsored post*

There is this cool new site called acobay. Basically it's like a social networking site, only its about connecting with people that own/like the same things as you, such as cars, books, computers, cell phones, music etc. You can read other people's opinions on things and offer yours as well. Check out the review I wrote on my laptop. Even if you don't own a certain item you can read what others are saying about it to see if you want it for yourself. For instance I have been really interested in the Blackberry phones, so I looked up some reviews. Here is an excellent review of the Blackberry curve. I think I want to get a blackberry type phone for my next cell phone, because I want a full keyboard for easier texting. As you are browsing through the site, whenever you see something you want you can click on this little gift icon, which adds the item to your wish list. There is also a network section, where the site automatically shows you networks of people that own all the same stuff as you. This website is pretty new so there is not a lot of members/reviews yet, but once it gets more members it will be come a great go-to site for user reviews!

I just joined PPP!

Good news! I just joined
I'm so excited because I have heard a lot of good stuff about them from other bloggers. I was a little worried I would not get approved because my blog isnt that old and there is not a lot of content yet but I got approved! It sounds pretty cool so far, and you get $20 for your first post! You can also get paid $15 for each person that you refer. You get to pick the stuff you want to write about which is way better than waiting for something to be assigned to you and them deciding if you want it. When I saw other bloggers writing about it in their blogs I thought I have to get into this! It sounded like a great opportunity to earn some extra money. It was through word of mouth that I heard about this great site so lets spread the word of mouth ethics

I'm really excited to be entering the world of paid blogging! Of course I do not expect to earn a huge income from this or anything but hopefully a little extra money to put into savings for perhaps a car! Even like an extra $100 a month would help out. If anyone hasnt signed up yet you really should!
